UK Reporting Framework
Schools in England must send parents a written report on every pupil by the end of the summer term, covering achievements in all subjects, general progress, attendance and how to discuss the report with a teacher. There is no single national achievement scale: Reception reports early learning goals as expected or emerging, primary schools describe attainment against the expected standard, statutory results are added for the phonics screening check and the end of Key Stage 2, and secondary reports reference GCSE and A level grades.
